The article offers information on importance of supply chain management in business logistics. It describes the conception of supply chain which continues to absorb elements of several conceptions of management including reengineering, knowledge management and total quality management. Topics discussed include reason for the supply chain domination in logistics, computerized supply network, the operator and carriers in the synchronous supply network.
