Niewydolność serca to stan zaburzeń czynności serca, kiedy dochodzi do zmniejszenia pojemności minutowej serca w stosunku do zapotrzebowania metabolicznego tkanek lub właściwa pojemność minutowa jest utrzymana dzięki podwyższeniu ciśnienia napełniania. Leczenie niewydolności serca w starszej grupie pacjentów jest trudniejsze ze względu na fakt, iż często HF jest fazą końcową cho-rób współistniejących. W pracy został przedstawiony proces pielęgnowania osoby w podeszłym wie-ku z przewlekłą niewydolnością serca na podstawie Międzynarodowej Praktyki Pielęgniarskiej (ICNP®).

Heart failure is an abnormality of cardiac structure of function leading to failure of the heart to de-liver oxygen at a rate commensurate with the requirements of the metabolizing tissues, despite nor-mal filling pressures or only at the expense of increased filling pressures. Treatment of heart failure of (HF) the elderly patients is more complex because HF is usually the final phase of concomitant diseases. The purpose of the study was to present the nursing process of care the elderly’s patients with Heart failure reservoir based on The International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP).
