On 15th May 2017, Marek Kuchciński, the Speaker of the Sejm (lower house of the Polish Parliament) appointed four members of the Council of the Supreme Audit Office, for a three-year term of office. The members are: priest Włodzimierz Broński, Ph.D.; Professor Bogumił Brzeziński, Ph.D.; Jan Majchrowski, Ph.D. and Józef Płoskonka Ph.D., Advisor to the President of NIK. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its activities in the country, the local branch of the Institute of Internal Auditors – IIA Polska and the Supreme Audit Office of Poland signed a memorandum on joint initiatives. The memorandum can be regarded as the crowning achievement of the cooperation of the two organisations to date.
