Dzięki nowym technologiom informacyjnym możliwe stało się gromadzenie gigantycznych zbiorów informacji (Big Data, głównie sieciowych) i ich niestandardowa analiza – rafinacja informacji. Jej wynik jest cennym, tanim w uzyskaniu, nowym źródłem danych. Tworzą one wartościowy obraz przeszłości, czasu rzeczywistego i predykcji. Dowodzą tego m.in. wyniki badań dotyczących aktywności politycznej – wyborów prezydenckich i parlamentarnych w Polsce (2011, 2015).

The new information technology makes a chance to collect enormous collections of information (Big Data, especially from the net) and to make their custom analysis – refining the information. The result is a valuable and inexpensive to obtain, the new source of the data. The data provide a genuine picture of the past, the real-time picture and the predictions. This is confi rmed by, among others, results of research on political activity during presidential and parliamentary elections in Poland (2011, 2015).
