Artykuł jest próbą prezentacji ogólnego zarysu koncepcji zarządzania rozwojem organizacji. Przedstawia wybrane zagadnienia związane z tą koncepcją. Jako główne podejście badawcze przyjęto krytyczną analizę literatury przedmiotu. Na wstępie przedstawiono sposoby pojmowania zarządzania rozwojem organizacji, głównie w odniesieniu do państwa i firmy. Następnie opisano wybrane funkcje zarządzania rozwojem organizacji, tj. modelowanie, prognozowanie, programowanie, planowanie i sterowanie. Zwrócono uwagę na wykorzystanie metod scenariuszy, wnioskowania poprzez analogię, strategicznej gry, jako najbardziej użytecznych narzędzi analitycznych w planowaniu rozwoju organizacji. Na zakończenie poruszono kwestię dotyczącą strategii zarządzania jako obszaru programowania rozwoju organizacji. Zawarte w artykule rozważania z pewnością przyczynią się do rozwoju teorii zarządzania

Article is an attempt to the presentation of an overview of the concept of the development management of the organization. Shows the selected issues related to this concept. As the main research approach adopted a critical analysis of the literature. The ways of the understanding of the development management of the organization were introduced first of all, mainly in the reference to state and firms. Then describes the selected functions of the development management of the organization: modeling, forecasting, programming, planning and control. Drew attention to the use of scenarios methods, inference by analogy, strategic games, as the most useful analytical tools in planning the development of the organization. Matter relating management strategy as the area of programming of the development of the organization to the was moved on the end. Included in the article considerations will contribute to the development of the theory of management
