The article attempts to analyze the methods of managing emotions of employees who work in the field of performative arts at cultural institutions. It focuses on creative workers who are not regarded as artistic workers. Using the example of Polish theatres, the author shows the financial and symbolic inequalities existing between those two groups of employees. She describes the feeling of frustration, which can be easily seen among creative personnel (referred to by her as the “programme team”). She points out how certain aims of creative workers are managed in order to minimalize the feeling of frustration.
