EN
The article presents the threats related to exposure of human body to pesticides in the light of current scientific research. There are numerous studies indicating that environmental and occupational exposure may unfavourably influence human health, whereas in the literature comparatively little attention has been devoted to exposure to pesticides found in food. And although their residues are predominantly relatively low, due to the health consequences connected with overlapping effect of toxic substances with a similar mechanism of functioning, the risk associated with its consumption increases, depending on the frequency of exposure and the dose of the active substance.
