Janusz Stanisław Pasierb develops his conception of culture around two descriptions pre-senting the creation of the human being and the world, shaped in the spirit of the priestly and Yahvistic tradition. The descriptions show that man has been able to transcend nature already from the beginning. Therefore, the escape from paradise has become a symbol of man’s exis-tential condition. It represents the essence of man’s culture-forming activity which must be undertaken by the human being due to his origin from God. Culture, as a form of man’s es-cape from paradise, turns out to be the only way of returning to the Father’s house.
