Nowoczesna obsługa klientów ma wiele wymiarów i jest bardzo złożona, ale jej końcowym elementem powinno zawsze być zadowolenie klienta. Celem artykułu było przedstawienie istoty procesu obsługi klienta z perspektywy teorii i praktyki działalności uzdrowiskowej. Zaprezentowano elementy obsługi klientów w podziale na fazy przed, w trakcie i po zawarciu transakcji. Z badań przeprowadzonych w 14 zakładach lecznictwa uzdrowiskowego wynika, że kompleksowa i satysfakcjonująca obie strony obsługa klienta wymaga zmian w zarządzaniu zakładem. W tym procesie ważne stają się przede wszystkim: profesjonalizm, kreatywność, właściwa z punktu widzenia orientacji na klienta struktura organizacyjna, korzystanie z najnowszej technologii informatyczno-komunikacyjnej, stały monitoring procesu obsługi klienta i jego efektów, zwrócenie większej uwagi na budowanie elementów obsługi klienta w fazie przedtransakcyjnej i po transakcji, zarówno w kontaktach tradycyjnych, jak i wirtualnych. Zaproponowano model nowoczesnej obsługi klientów, który przyczynia się do dyfuzji wiedzy i budowania lojalności klienta przedsiębiorstwa uzdrowiskowego.

Modern customer service features many dimensions and has a complex nature, however it is customer satisfaction which should always present its final component. The objective of the article is to illustrate the essence of customer service process from the perspective of theory and practice characteristic of spa enterprises. The article discusses the elements of customer service divided into phases prior to, in the course of, and after concluding the transaction. A modern customer service model is suggested, which results in knowledge diffusion and in the establishment of a spa enterprise client loyalty. The complex and satisfying customers service requires changes in managing institutions providing spa treatment. The crucial components of such process are: professionalism, creativity, adequacy, from the client-oriented perspective organisational structure, taking advantage of high-tech information and communication technology, ongoing monitoring of the customer service process and its effects, paying more attention to constructing customer service elements in the pre- and post-transaction phase, both in traditional and virtual contacts.
