An interview with Hugo Loetscher about Swiss literature and his own literary output. The writer talks, among others, about autobiographical elements in his works, his friendship with Friedrich Dürrenmatt, the moral responsibility of a writer and his involvement in social issues, about literary exactness and inquisitiveness, the possibilities of language and the role of literature, literary ideas, their inherent logic and their surprising consequences, as well as about his latest novel describing the processes of globalization in the modern world.
