The author presented the projects of the air force support for Finland from the Polish government-in-exile. General W. Sikorski’s government planned to create two squadrons – a fighter and a bomber one, from the Polish pilots interned in Latvia and Lithuania. The difficulties encountered by the Polish government led to the abandonment of the idea. In the mid-January 1940 the government introduced the idea of the formation of fighter squadron on the territory of France. The surplus of pilots and technical staff located in France was to comprise the cadre of squadron. The formation of squadron deranged the schedule of the reconstruction of the Polish Air Force on French soil. The end of the Soviet-Finnish War prevented sending the Polish squadron to Finland.
