Niniejszy artykuł porusza problematykę działalności Unii Europejskiej w zakresie bezpieczeństwa na obszarze postradzieckim, a konkretnie dwóch, działających tam obecnie misji WPBiO – EUMM Gruzja i EUBAM Mołdowa/Ukraina. Autor, po krótkim scharakteryzowaniu obydwu operacji, przeprowadza analizę ich dotychczasowych rezultatów, sukcesów i porażek, w kontekście celów przed nimi postawionych. Dzieli on zarazem efekty misji, z jego zdaniem, istotnego punktu widzenia, tj. „poziomu polityczności”, na rezultaty techniczne i polityczne, gdyż jak wynika z dokonanych przez niego ustaleń, istnieje jakościowa różnica między obydwoma poziomami w efektach unijnych operacji.

This article brings up the issue of the European Union activity in the field of security in the post-soviet area, namely: two currently running the CSDP missions – EUMM Georgia and EUBAM Moldova/Ukraine. The author, after a brief description of both operations, analyzes hitherto outcomes, successes and failures in the context of their objectives. He also separates mission’s results, from the so called “politicity level” perspective, into technical and political outcomes, which in his view are significant. As author suggest in his findings, such a division can be considered legitimate, because there is a qualitative difference between both levels of the EU’s operations results.
