EN

Making use of a general literature and available press materials, the author presents the everyday life of the soldiers of 63rd Toruń Infantry Regiment. Of particular interest is the issue of soldiers’ functioning in the urban space of Toruń and their influence on the everyday life of the city. The article focuses on the commonest information published in the press, which deal with the Regiment, such as city celebrations, football games, concerts of the regimental orchestra, and also many other issues that are worth quoting. The article is divided into sections; each section deals with specific information on the activities of the Regiment and the relations between the Regiment and the city. The author expresses his belief that this article shall start the detailed research on 63rd Toruń Infantry Regiment, particularly dedicated more to the lives and deeds of individual soldiers than the history of the whole unit and its military activity. At the same time, he hopes that the published text will increase the Toruń citizens’ awareness of the Regiment, so strongly connected with Toruń.
