The site in Falęcin is located c. 30 km to the west of Warsaw. open-area rescue excavations were carried out there from 1 August 2009 to 17 September 2009. They preceded the construction of the A2 motorway. In the course of research a total area of 40 ares was examined and 183 archaeological features were discovered. Based on finds, with special reference to pottery, they can be related to (in chronological order): the Trzciniec Culture and the Lusatian Culture of the Bronze Age, the Przeworsk Culture of the Iron Age, the Middle Ages and the Modern Period (based on fragments of fast wheel-made pottery). The analysis of planigraphy of recorded features leaves no doubt that the northern extent of their occurrence is linked to the southern part of the neighbouring site in the locality of Kotowice.
