Poland as well as its forms. The analysis covers: 1) the work organization typical of digital Taylorism, associated with intense labour control and work standardization;2) the shape of labor relations in a company using subcontracting as a business model; 3) the institutional context of a semi-peripheral economy in Poland characterized by the institutional weakness of collective labour relations. The empirical evidence is based on thirty interviews with workers, unionists and employer representatives. The authors argue that the unfavorable organizational and institutional conditions as well as the anti-union tactics used by Amazon create an opportunity structure for the emergence of bottom-up worker resistance practices to digital Taylorism. The authors develop a typology of the employee resistance at Amazon Poland, combining two dimensions: overt–covert and individual–collective. Most practices fall far from the endpoints on both scales, which suggests the resistance hybridity and ambiguity. The article furthers contributes to better understanding of how the digitalization shapes worker agency in the global corporations embedded in local contexts.
