Die politische Transformation am Ende der 1980er Jahre hatte bedeutenden Einfluss auf den Austausch im kulturellen und künstlerischen Leben in Polen und in Deutschland. Die seit Ende der 1990er Jahre in Polen beobachtete Faszination von neuen dramatischen bzw. Schauspielformen folgte in hohem Maße aus der Einführung neuer Kommunikationsmethoden, der Aufhebung politischer und mentaler Barrieren sowie der verstärkten Gegenwart von Künstlern aus Deutschland im polnischen Theaterleben. Zur Entstehung eines postdramatischen politischen Theaters in Polen trugen in den Jahren 2003– 2005 das deutsche Theater mit der Tradition des dialektischen Theaters von Brecht, dessen dramaturgisches Schaffen, vor allem aber die Ästhetik des Theaters von Frank Castorf, Ostermeier sowie René Pollesch bei. Im Aufsatz wird an die Berliner Erfahrungen von Grzegorz Jarzyna mit Bertolt Brechts Stück Im Dickicht der Städte erinnert.

Contemporary Polish Theater of the beginning of the 21 st century, more or less, refers to the tradition of German political theater and the recent post-dramatic theater tradition. Brecht is always in the background, with his output corresponding to the poetics of the political theatre, as well the post-dramatic theatre. Polish theater of the period following 1989 resches rardy, however, the works of the The Threepenny Opera author. In consequence, the attempts at staging Brecht’s play by Polish directors in Brelin seem all the more bold. The primary focus of this paper is post-dramatic Theatre recycled by polish contemporary directors.

Polski teatr współczesny - początku XXI wieku - bardziej lub mniej świadomie nawiązuje do tradycji niemieckiego teatru politycznego, a także nowszej tradycji teatru postdramatycznego. W tle pozostaje zawsze Brecht i jego twórczość odpowiadająca zarówno poetyce teatru politycznego, jak i postdramatycznego. Polski teatr po 1989 roku rzadko, jednak sięga po utwory autora Opery za trzy grosze, tym bardziej odważne wydają się próby inscenizacji dramatów Brechta przez polskich reżyserów w Berlinie, o czym traktuje niniejszy tekst.
