The article deals with the problem of the text cognitive space interpretation. In the centre of attention is the concept SOUL realized in V. Nabokov’s novel Invitation to an Execution. The role of the concept’s value component is defined. In the process of the author’s conceptual reconstruction we consider cognitive, semantic structural, and communicative aspects of description of knowledge structures which are actualized in the text.
