Negocjacje w sprawie TTIP, skoncentrowane na poprawie uwarunkowań wzajemnego han-dlu i inwestycji, pomijają kwestię wpływu polityki pieniężnej i kursowej USA i UE na potencjalne efekty przyszłego porozumienia. Jeżeli TTIP ma mieć takie znaczenie dla strategicznego partnerstwa USA-UE, jak niegdyś traktat rzymski - zawierający wskazówki co do przyszłej polityki walutowej EWG - dla rozwoju integracji europejskiej, to w negocjowanym porozumieniu należy unormować, przynajmniej w szerokich kategoriach, relacje dolar-euro.

TTIP's negotiations, which are focused on a betterment of conditions of mutual trade and investments, have overlooked an issue of the influence of the US and the EU monetary and exchange rate policies on the potential results of a future agreement. If TTIP is to have the exact importance for the US-EU strategic partnership as the Treaty of Rome had for the rise of the European integration, then the transatlantic agreement has to regulate, at least in broad catego-ries, the dollar-euro relations.
