The Fachhochschulen entrance examination is the subject of this study. The whole entrance examination is one of the most important determinants and has its considerable impact on the success of a school. It also fulfills many important secondary functions. Great attention is focused on the methods of selection of the right candidates and on the analysis of interest in Fachhochschulen study programmes.
