W artykule zaproponowano dynamiczne ujęcie zjawiska terroryzmu. Przeanalizowano jego historyczną ewolucję w zakresie struktur, taktyki i ideologii. Ukazano przemiany terroryzmu od żywiołowego, indywidualnego skrytobójstwa przez tajne organizacje paramilitarne, po opór niekierowany i fenomen „samotnych wilków”. Przedstawiono także perspektywy rozwoju terroryzmu jako elementu wojen asymetrycznych i konfliktów społecznych (tzw. soft-terroryzm).

This article is a proposal of dynamic conceptualization of terrorism. The author analyzes historical evolution of terrorism in terms of organization, tactics and ideology. He features the transformation of terrorism from spontaneous individual assassinations through secret paramilitary organizations to the so-called "leaderless resistance" and “lonely wolves”. He presents the perspectives of future development of a terrorism as an element of an asymmetrical warfare and social conflicts (soft-terrorism).
