Artykuł oparty został na badaniach prowadzonych w Pracowni Etnologii Instytutu Archeologii i Etnologii PAN przez zespół etnologów pod kierownictwem prof. Aleksandra Posern-Zielińskiego w ramach grantu NCN pt. „Polacy sukcesu: nowe oblicze polskiej diaspory w Europie Zachodniej”. Jego celem były pogłębione studia nad polskimi migrantami, którzy przez ciężką pracę, wykształcenie i obrane strategie uwzględniające różne czynniki społeczno-kulturowo-polityczno-ekonomiczne awansują, a nierzadko osiągają powodzenie większe niż ogół mieszkańców kraju przyjmującego. W tekście przedstawiony został niemiecki wątek badań.

This article is based on anthropological research conducted by Prof. Aleksander Posern-Zieliński and undertaken by the team of the Ethnological Laboratory at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology, Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań. The project under the title "Poles of success – between emigration and transnationality: new aspects of the Polish diaspora in Western Europe" was finansed by the National Centre of Science [NCN; No. UMO-2014/13/B/HS3/04927]. The aim of the research was in-depth studies on Polish migrants who - thanks to hard work, education and choosen strategies depended on socio-cultural, economical and political factors - become a part of the upward social mobility, quite often obtaining higher success than social majority in a host country. In this article I present the German case.
