Because of their physical, mental and social disorders, students with moderate and significant intellectual disability have problems to perceive the world adequately, which makes it difficult for them to receive the surrounding reality. They often cannot express their thoughts and feel-ings. They are not always understood by the society. The school, whose major goal is to provide students with knowledge and skills adapted to their needs and capacities, plays a great role in this area. Among diverse courses for students with moderate and significant intellectual disability, fine arts, music combined with eurhythmics and creativity classes are exceptionally important. Thanks to them, students develop their imagina-tion, ability to express their feelings and emotions with the use of various means and methods, improve their self-esteem through creative activities. Additionally, they study how to receive the arts and become sensitive to beauty expressed via the arts, of course within limits set out by their dis-ability degree. It is also necessary to point out that the creative participa-tion of students with moderate and significant intellectual disability in the classes prepares them to the social and cultural life, as well as the crea-tive development thereof.
