Rozmowa z niemieckojęzyczną awangardową pisarką Zsuzsanną Gahse o jej najnowszej książce Oh, Roman, której tytuł jest swoistą zabawą językową, odczytać go bowiem można w dwojaki sposób: jako imię mężczyzny, o którym opowiada narratorka w powieści, ale także jako powieść o powieści (‚Roman’ oznacza po niemiecku ‚powieść’). Autorka opowiada o problematyce i strukturze swego utworu, nawiązującego do kompozycji Györgia Ligetiego, którego zamierzeniem było stworzenie hologramu umieszczonego w szumie różnych głosów. Także w jej książce powstaje w zgiełku różnych opowieści obraz-hologram mężczyzny niegdyś bardzo ważnego w życiu narratorki. Jednocześnie pisarka opowiada o swojej koncepcji literatury oraz o swych fascynacjach literackich, m. in. sposobem narracji praktykowanym przez Witolda Gombrowicza.

A conversation with an avant-garde writer Zsuzsanną Gahse about her latest book “Oh, Roman, whose title is a certain language game as it can be interpreted in two ways: as a name of a man about whom the narrator of the novel talks or as a novel about the novel (‘Roman’ in German means ‘novel’). The writer talks about the issues addressed in and the structure of her novel, which intentionally resembles the works of Györgio Ligeti, who aimed at creating a hologram placed in the aggregate of sounds. In Gahse’s novel the reader also finds a hologram-image of a man who used to be very important in the narrator’s life. At the same time the writer talks about her conception of literature and her literary inspirations, e.g. the mode of narration used by Witold Gombrowicz.
