The Article presents the economic behavior of a man described in The Wealth of Nations from the perspective of ethics contained in The Theory of Moral Sentiments. Firstly, widespread desire for wealth is subjected to the ethical analysis. Secondly, the article suggests a possible solution to the so-called Das Adam Smith Problem. The conclusion is that God (Nature) is a key element of both The Wealth of Nations and The Theory of Moral Sentiments and is essential to the moral evaluation of human conduct in a market economy.(
