The article deals with the historical, cultural, economic and political factors that influence the formation of pedagogical culture of parents in the United States and the formation of the American system of education. It is proved that the development of any society is due not only political but also pedagogical culture of its members, including parents. The family is the foundation of any society. The author has found out that the last few decades, US society has witnessed the evolution of the family. The political, economic and spiritual changes in the society had a great impact on the family values and the system of education in the American family. It is established that American family values are important for its citizens. For years American family and its values has been a top priority for the state. There are many factors that influence the American system of education, for example religion. For a long time the vast majority of population have been the Puritans. These people moved from England to America in order to implement their views on social, religious and political issues. The Puritans had typical features such as individualism, reliance on their own strength, their belief in a special mission, and high moral standards in everyday life: hard work, honesty, temperance. These qualities influenced the formation of the American nation and the American character. Another one is a political factor. The US government is very concerned about the family and family education. That is why a series of laws that defined methods and rules of parenting was created. Thus, the research allowed establishing that raising a child is a difficult and responsible task with which the person can face. Knowledge of each person on how to raise a child, as a rule, comes from the surroundings and own upbringing. This can lead to the creation of its own model of education, which will be transmitted to the next generation. The American system of education prepares the society for creative individuals. The investigation of such experience is necessary because it gives us the opportunity to see and analyze the positive and rational sides that can change for the better Ukrainian system of education.
