W artykule przedstawiono reformy polskiego systemu ochrony zdrowia w kontekście uregulowań prawnych odnoszących się do oceny i pomiaru jakości świadczonych usług przez podmioty lecznicze. Podkreślono, iż akredytacja stanowi jedyne rozwiązanie w którym Resort Zdrowia upatruje możliwość wpływu na jakość świadczonych usług. Artykuł podzielono na trzy zasadniczefragmenty: (1) scharakteryzowanoproces akredytacji w Polsce, (2) omówiono ustawę o akredytacji w ochronie zdrowia, (2) przedstawiono założeniaprojektuustawy o jakości w ochronie zdrowia.

The article presents the reform of the Polish health care system in the context of regulations relating to assessing and measuring quality of service provided by medical institutions. It was stressed that accreditation is the only way in which the Ministry of Health sees the opportunity to influence the quality of services. This article is divided into three main parts: (1) characterizes the process of accreditation in Poland, (2) discusses the law on accreditation of health care, (2) presented the draft law on quality in health care.
