W tekście zaprezentowano zarys problemu agresji i przemocy występujących we współczesnej szkole. Przedstawiono przegląd wybranych statystyk policyjnych ukazujących zachowania agresywne młodzieży o charakterze przestępczym. Dokonano przeglądu egzemplifikacji wybranych dokumentów określających działania profilaktyczne (Statut Szkoły, Szkolny Program Profilaktyki, Szkolny Program Wychowawczy), a także poddano analizie ich treści w celu sprawdzenia, czy dokumenty te zostały przygotowane zgodnie z przepisami ministerialnymi. Istotną kwestią poruszaną w tekście jest przegląd praktycznej profilaktyki prowadzonej w szkołach w województwie warmińsko-mazurskim. Autorki ukazują metody oraz strategie działań profilaktycznych prowadzonych przez placówki szkolne. W części końcowej tekstu opracowano implikacje dla praktyki edukacyjnej, które mogą okazać się pomocne w podejmowanych przez szkoły działaniach profilaktycznych.

The paper presents outline of the issues concerning aggression and violence at contemporary schools. The review of chosen police statistics showing aggressive behaviours of children of criminal nature was presented. The review of exemplification of chosen documents determining preventive actions (School’s Statute, School’s Prevention Plan, School’s Educational Program) was made and the content of these documents underwent analysis in order to check, whether these documents were prepared in accordance with ministerial provisions. The review of practical prevention conducted in schools in the Warmian-Masourian Voivodship constitute an essential issue presented in this paper. The authors show methods and strategies of preventive actions conducted by the schools. The final part of the paper presents implications for the educational praxis, which can be useful for the process of undertaking by schools preventive actions.
