Development of student´s key competences with problem solving tasks in chemistry education

Abstracts
The new Czech curricular documents, Framework Educational Programmes, list information, skills, capabilities, attitudes and values that every student is to acquire in the basic or upper secondary education. They are referred to as the key competencies. This paper analyses the term and explores the possibilities of the development of key competencies in solving problem tasks in Chemistry lessons. Concrete examples are used to demonstrate the development of key competencies in basic school Chemistry lessons.
