In Volume 163-164 the Survey on the morality of contemporary business was conducted. Three topics have been addressed: I. What are the biggest moral issues facing business in the 21st century? II. To what extent have business practices changed in the ethical aspect comparing to the end of the 20th century? III. Does the business ethics’ popularity results in the improvement of business practices, or is this popularity the effect of instrumental use of „ethics” in PR policy? Both a representative of philosophy (Boleslaw Rok) and representatives of management sciences (Tomasz Gigol, Piotr Masiukiewicz, Krzysztof Obłoj, Aleksandra Stanek-Kowalczyk) were asked to participate in the survey. Some of our experts apart from their scientific achievements are also professionally involved in business. The answers were collected in 2021, i.e. during COVID-19 epidemic. The moderate skepticism about reliability of ethical declarations of business leaders is one of the most interesting outcome. On the other hand, the participants have noticed an increase in ethical awareness in bussiness.
