Celem artykułu jest zasygnalizowanie problemów związanych z funkcjonowaniem ciągów pieszo-tramwajowych w miastach na przykładzie rozwiązań w Europie i w Polsce. Rozwój ruchu kołowego w miastach spowodował nieunikniony powrót do rozwiązań dających pieszym priorytet ruchu w częściach centralnych miast. Tworzenie w tych obszarach ciągów pieszo-tramwajowych stało się naturalną formą organizacji ruchu.

The aim of the article is to signal the problems connected with the operation of the tramway tracks in city centres based on the example of solutions in Europe and in Poland. The growth of vehicle traffic in cities has led to an inevitable return to solutions that give pedestrian priority in traffic in central areas of cities. The creation of pedestrian streets with tramways in these areas has become a natural form of traffic organisation.
