The paper describes some aspects of the life between two cultures, the Polish and the German ones. It deals with Polish as a foreign language at the Centre of Foreign Languages and Key Competencies and Polish studies at the Department of Polish Philology at the University of Potsdam, Germany. Various forms of cooperation between the University of Potsdam and the University of Warsaw are explained and illustrated.
