Although recruitment of workers through the Internet is currently one of the most commonly used ways of attracting them, little is known about factors impacting on the perception of ICT–based selection tools by the candidates themselves. Examination of 704 respondents using e–questionnaires demonstrates that the distributive fairness assessment of the new selection tools is lower than in the case of the traditional ones that are their basis. Moreover, it has been found that experience with a given tool or a similar tool increases the level of its acceptance. Also indicated are the management consequences of this fact.
