Abstracts
The article lists the most frequent mistakes related with the use of surnames in Polish, made by foreigners learning Polish, as well as by Polish native speakers. The paper raises mainly such issues as the most common declension patterns of Polish last names, different feminine forms of Polish family names, and the absence of surnames in Polish forms of address.
