W artykule przedstawiono dokładną metodą bootstrapową, którą wykorzy-stano do szacowania mediany. Obliczenia potwierdziły jej skuteczność, po-nieważ dla próby o nieparzystej liczbie elementów, oszacowany rozkład standardowego estymatora mediany dokładnie pokrywał się z rozkładem teo-retycznym. Dla próby o parzystej liczbie elementów pokazano, że standar-dowy estymator mediany może być obciążony, co wskazuje na konieczność poszukiwania innej jego postaci.

The article presents the exact bootstrap method, which was used to estimate the median. Calculations have confirmed its effectiveness, because attempts with an odd number of elements, the estimated distribution of the standard median estimator exactly coincide with the theoretical distribution. For the sample with an even number of items showing that the standard estimator of the median may be biased, which indicates the need to seek its other form.
