The paper explains what managerial decision-making involves, defining affective automatic processes and indicating the managers’ role in strategic decisions made under uncertainty. The determinants of their decision-making were also presented against the background of affective automatic processes. Greater abilities of managers to make complex decisions in a fast and appropriate manner and react to changes are particularly important in a turbulent environment. Such abilities are crucial at the highest level of company management. Therefore, the impact of emotional determinants of managers on their decision-making was presented. The study carried out have made it possible to draw conclusions, and thus identify the determinants of managers’ decision-making in a range of automatic affective processes. There are possibilities of reducing negative effects of individual limitations in dealing with emotions by decision-makers, but they are limited. Therefore, the choice of managers able to make appropriate decisions is so important in an enterprise.
