The inability to find employment is a huge problem faced today by many young people with a university diploma. This difficult situation of the university graduates entering labor market is caused by a variety of factors, including, among others, the mismatch between their training to the needs of the labor market in the region or the lack of competence required by local employers. The primary objective of this study was to identify the fate of the graduates of the Faculty of Economics of University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. The research provided information about the respondents' activity after graduation, their work expectations and the respondents' subjective assessment of these expectations fulfillment with their current employer. Respondents also assessed the suitability of qualifications acquired during their faculty studies to obtain employment. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of the extracurricular activities undertaken during the period of study in creating value of the graduates in the labor market and their impact on implementing professional goals.
