Zbigniew Tomaszczuk Spectacular status of photography in the history of photography and culture Tomaszczuk analyzes selected examples of photographs that for various reasons have acquired icon status. He considered the iconography of the photographs in the context of symbolism of photographs as well as in the context of the events shown in those photographs. Spectacularness refers here not so much to the spectacleiness of images themselves, but rather to the impression that these photographs may produce and, consequently, affect public opinion.
