This paper presents the concept of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and evidence based nursing practice (EBNP). Pointed out the evolution of the concepts, methods of implementation EBM and EBNP for daily patient care and the role of nurses in this care.

W artykule przedstawiono pojęcia medycyny opartej na faktach (EBM) oraz opieki pielęgniarskiej opartej na faktach (EBNP). Wskazano ewolucję pojęć, metody wdrażania EBM i EBNP do codziennej opieki nad pacjentem oraz rolę pielęgniarki w tej opiece.
