The review presents glottodidactical context and utility of a book entitled: Ni pies ni wydraczyli o wyrażeniach, które pokazują język (Neither fish nor fowl or expressions which poke the tongue). This children’s book in simple lyrics explains many of Polish idiomatic expressions. Thanks to simple language and self-explanatory illustrations the book gives ideal basis for large number of exercises for foreigners learning Polish language.
