The author discusses the role of relaxation in the process of voice training. She does so in the context of how students of pedagody perceive the impact of psychophysical factors on phonation disorders, and the relationship between relaxation and voice quality. The conclusions are based on questionnaire of own design, developed on interrelations of relaxation, psychophysical condition of the speaker and voice production. The survey was performed in a group of anonymous 70 students of pedagogy at the State School of Higher Education in Chełm. The author grounds her conclusions on the issues discussed in this paper also on her own observation of the study group during workshop
