The article is based on the results of surveys conducted among students of four universities in February and March 2012 on their opinions and attitudes associated with the signing of ACTA by Poland. The author tackles the problem of communication and its impact on the relations between the parties to the dialogue, the expectations of the participants in the process, as well as the consequences of insufficient information in a case that is important to one or both sides. The author analyses the students’ opinions in the context of actions taken by the government to provide information about ACTA, and the sources of information about the subject.
