In this section, we present the audits that the Supreme Audit Office has completed in selected areas and that have been published in the form of pronouncements on audit findings. In this issue of our bimonthly, we discuss the following audits: adjusting websites to the needs of disabled persons; road traffic safety; educational tasks performed by self-government units; realisation of public tasks by companies created by self-governments; maintenance of bridges and culverts; municipal investments and their influence on monuments; basic tasks of public authorities; use of weapons by selected services and guards; water swelling constructions; education and professional training for medical staff; strategic evaluations of environmental impact; tasks related to providing places for children in kindergartens; special programmes for the unemployed; the Police’s reaction to notifications; maintenance and repairs of roads; anti-flood infrastructure; investments in waterside areas; activities of the State Pharmaceutical Inspectorate; entitlements to assets of the former Workers’ Holiday Fund; protection for foreigners; realisation of tasks of the National Health Funds (NFZ).
