W prezentowanym tekście autor, na bazie rozróżnień, dotyczących kulturowych form oglądu dowolnych zjawisk rzeczywistości, podejmuje charakterystykę typowych dla nauk humanistycznych podejść do społecznego fenomenu edukacji domowej. Wskazując na sytuacyjne, ideologicznie motywowane, nierzetelności w tym zakresie, podaje za najnowszymi kwantytatywnymi opracowaniami badawczymi takie konstatacje, które mają obalić fałszywe stereotypy, towarzyszące tej, łamiącej społeczną konwencję, choć całkowicie legalnej w demokratycznym społeczeństwie, formie edukacji.
