W artykule zostały przedstawione najważniejsze polskie badania w dziedzinie onomastyki prowadzone po 1989 roku. Koncentrując się głównie na pozycjach monograficznych, autor przywołał i krótko omówił najistotniejsze i najbardziej inspirujące prace dotyczące antroponimii, toponimii, chrematonimii i innych nazw własnych, a także z zakresu teorii onomastycznej.

In the paper, the most significant Polish studies in the field of onomastics after the year 1989 are presented. The author focuses chiefly on the books and monographs that may be regarded as the most important achievements of Polish onomastic researchers. The most impressive and inspiring works on anthroponymy, toponymy, names of products and other entities, as well as the proper names theory and onomastic dictionaries are mentioned and briefly described.
