The author points a finger at “living in a bubble,” as he calls it, the collective habit of complaining about the ugliness of the public sphere in Poland. Taking a closer look at the root causes of this situation, he blames the lack of art lessons in primary and secondary schools for this aesthetic blindness. The devastating results can clearly be seen: the results of architectural plebiscites are incomprehensible for an ordinary citizen, newspaper publications on the subject are usually of an interventionist character, and good photography is almost non-existent in the press. The article also provides commentary on current discussions about billboard advertising campaigns, covers public opinion polls, and discusses future prospects.
