Przedmiotem rozważań są postawy młodzieży kształcącej się w zawodach medycznych oraz studentów humanistycznych i niehumanistycznych kierunków polskich i zagranicznych uczelni wobec osób starszych. Opracowanie składa się z dwóch części: teoretycznej, omawiającej problematykę postaw wobec osób starszych oraz empirycznej, zmierzającej do identyfikacji postaw wobec tej grupy osób, zróżnicowanych ze względu na kierunek kształcenia i studiów grup uczniów i studentów. W badaniu przeprowadzonym z wykorzystaniem Kwestionariusza do Badania Postaw wobec Osób 70 plus oraz wywiadu pogłębionego uczestniczyło 256 uczniów w czterech równolicznych grupach badanych: uczniów Medycznego Zawodowego Studium, studentów kierunków humanistycznych i niehumanistycznych (polskich i zagranicznych). Badania wykazały, że postawy wobec osób starszych są na ogół pozytywne, poszczególne grupy, ze względu na ten czynnik, różnią się od siebie w sposób statystycznie istotny tylko w przypadku uczniów szkół medycznych i technicznych (co może wynikać z odmiennych preferencji i motywacji w zakresie kształtowania swojej ścieżki kariery). Ponadto okazało się, że pozytywne postawy wobec osób starszych współwystępują (silna zależność statystyczna) z doświadczaniem bliskich relacji z osobami starszymi w rodzinie i z pozytywnymi wzorami relacji wobec osób starszych ze strony rodziców.

The subject of this article is the attitudes of young people educating themselves in medical professions and humanistic students of non-humanistic Polish and foreign majors towards the elderly. The study consists of two parts: a theoretical one discussing the issues of attitudes towards older people and an empirical one aimed at identifying attitudes towards this group of people diversified due to the direction of education and study of groups of pupils and students. In a study conducted using a questionnaire and in-depth interview, there were 256 students from four parallel study groups: students of the Post-Medical Study, students of humanities and non-humanities (Polish and foreign). Studies have shown that attitudes towards older people are generally positive, individual groups only in cases of students of medical schools and polytechnics differ in a statistically significant way (which may result from different preferences and motivation in shaping their career path). Positive attitudes towards older people co-exist (strong statistics dependence) with experiencing close relationships with the elderly in the family and positive patterns on the part of parents.
