Z kolei w grupie wskazanych przez badanych ograniczeń kształcenia animacyjnego w formie zdalnej wyróżnić należy: nieefektywność zajęć o charakterze praktycznym i metodycznym; brak bezpośrednich kontaktów międzyludzkich; spadek aktywności i motywacji do działań.

The article focuses on the issue of distance education implemented in Polish higher education from 2020 in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic in the context of the specificity of educating culture animators. The study presents the results of research conducted at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin among students of the field of culture animation. The fact that this course is to a large extent practical, relational and focused primarily on the development of soft skills, is not without significance for the assessment of the effectiveness of distance learning. The research was carried out at the turn of 2021 and 2022, using two research techniques: a sur¬vey and a group interview. The main aim of the research was to find out about students’ opinions on distance education, with particular emphasis on its quality and effectiveness, self-activity, motivation and commitment to learning, lecturers’ involvement and their relations with students, as well as its potential and limitations. The results of the research showed that students of culture animation are divided in their opinions on distance education, and the least positively assessed by this model of education are the students, whose study plan consists mainly of practical and methodological subjects. The research shows that the effect of distance learning is a decrease in the activity, commitment and motivation to learn for a large group of culture animation students. However the majority of the respondents do not notice any fundamental differences in the level of lecturers’ involvement in the didactic process and rela¬tions with students, compared to full-time education. In light of the conducted research, the most important opportunities for remote academic education of culture animators include development of technological skills and competences, such as: flexibility, creativity, openness to new, unexpected events and readiness to deal with them; permanent access to knowledge and teaching materials; us¬ing additional time resources for activities in the area of animation practice. On the other hand, in the group of limitations of remote animation education indicated by the respondents, the following should be distinguished: the ineffectiveness of practical and methodological activities; a lack of direct interpersonal contacts; a decrease in activity and in motivation to act.
