Artykuł opowiada o idei i kwerendach związanych z wystawą Bruno Schulz wśród artystów swego czasu, jaką prezentowano w Lwowskiej Narodowej Galerii Sztuki we Lwowie w 2018 roku w ramach VIII Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Brunona Schulza w Drohobyczu. Na wystawie eksponowano prace artystów, którzy brali udział w wystawach razem z Brunonem Schulzem, jakie miały miejsce we Lwowie w latach 1922, 1930, 1935, 1940. W zbiorach Galerii przechowywane są dzieła, rzadko lub dotychczas niepokazywane, prawie wszystkich tych artystów z tego okresu. Wystawa unaoczniła, jak dzieła Schulza pozycjonują się obok dzieł innych artystów w kontekście ówczesnych trendów artystycznych. Autorka odszukała też zapomniane recenzje. Autorka podkreśla, że wystawiających we Lwowie artystów różnych narodowości i poglądów jednoczyło pragnienie twórczych poszukiwań, a także dramatyczna wspólnota losów.

The article focuses on ideas and surveys associated with the exhibition: Bruno Schulz among Artists of His Time, featured at the Lviv National Art Gallery in 2018 as part of the VIII International Bruno Schulz Festival in Drohobych. The display presented artists who together with Bruno Schulz took part in exhibitions held in Lwów in 1922, 1930, 1935, and 1940. The Gallery collections store works by almost all these artists, up to now rarely or never shown. The exhibition demonstrated the position of Schulz’s works alongside those by other artists within the context of trends of the period. The author also discovered forgotten reviews and stressed that artists on show in Lwów – of assorted nationalities and representing diverse views – shared a striving towards creative quests as well as a dramatic fate.
