The article presents the relations of party Fidesz to the heritage of democratization process in Hungary. After 1990 Hungarian political elites had been creating the liberal democratic pattern of institutions and axiological system, yet after elections in 2010 Fidesz revealed a new concept of the democratic regime. It has not much in common with liberalism, what’s more in some aspects it does not deal well with democracy. Since 2010 many of previous democratic achievements have been contested and withdrawn from public life and replaced by conservative and traditional values.
