Petitions, complaints and suggestions, because of their nature, can allow for correcting irregularities, for eliminating them and they can also add to the improvement of the performance of public administration bodies. They are an important source of opinion on various aspects of political, economic and social life. Because these forms of communication call for minimal formal requirements only, and there are no fees for submitting them, they are easily accessible and willingly used by the society. In his article, the author presents the rules for proceeding with complaints and suggestions addressed to public administration bodies and to public organisations and institutions, considered in accordance with the legal regulations, in compliance with the mandates of the bodies responsible for their collecting and considering.
